Economic Recovery in London
The City of London sought to leverage existing infrastructure, data, and insight to support small businesses. However, the city’s existing support providers, data sets, and activities were disparate and siloed. Sowen engaged with multiple city and private sector agencies to better understand entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small-business owners' needs and wants.
Equitable Economic Growth
Working with the city’s economic development team, Sowen designed a 3-year equitable economic development and mobility strategy. This involved bringing together all relevant city departments and partners, aggregating relevant data from local and national government, and applying local insights to fully articulate and prioritize the challenges at hand.
Improving Jobs and Upskilling
In 2019 Sowen worked with Nashville to grow the city’s industry clusters and encourage a new wave of economic development through innovation, workforce training, and collaboration. By using a data-driven approach and predictive analytics, Sowen helped create, launch, and measure a new Economic Development Strategy that will take the city into the new decade and beyond.
