Getting Unstuck: What We Shared at ImpactUp Movement

At this year’s ImpactUp: Movement event hosted by our partners at We Are For Good, Sowen’s Sophie Blondeau and Ori Carmel led a session called “Get Unstuck: Tools to Move Your Mission Forward.” The message was clear: if your organization is feeling stuck, you’re not alone—but there’s a path forward, and it starts with people and data.

The social impact space is facing real turbulence - and the data is sobering. Ori shared that projections show that up to 25% of organizations could face a shutdown, consolidation, or major capacity loss in the next three years. But Sophie reminded attendees that even amidst the chaos, the sector’s greatest strength remains its people—and their ingenuity, resilience, and commitment to change.

At Sowen, we believe in and understand the power of data, which is why we developed our data accelerator tool that Sophie & Ori shared with attendees. This tool was created to accelerate organizational movement—aligning the data you already have with the strategy you need to survive and thrive. They outlined five pillars that can help teams move from stuck to strategic:

  • Knowledge – improving data literacy and internal awareness

  • People – aligning talent with tools and strategy

  • Processes – embedding insights into day-to-day decision-making

  • Tools – using the right systems to streamline and scale

  • Culture – cultivating a mindset that questions, learns, and evolves

Using Sowen’s Data Acceleration Tool, organizations can self-assess where they fall—from data-aware to insight-driven to fully impact-driven. In addition, Sophie & Ori emphasized that we are here to support, and our new offering, the “1-2-3 Sprint”  consists of: one issue brought forth by the organization, two short conversations, three actionable steps.

In a moment where standing still isn’t an option, Ori and Sophie reminded us that movement—grounded in strategy and data—is not only possible, but essential.
